Okay. Yesterday Maya told you to EXPLORE. Here’s the beginner version. Step 1: Start with ONE thing you’d actually consider buying. Search for it on GotSnag. Then choose how you want to approach your search through our different CIRCLES: Products. Collections. Stores. Brands. Each Circle gives you a different way to look around and engage with the thing you’re interested in. Don’t worry about mastering Circles yet. For now, just pick a path and explore. Step 2: Don’t stop at the first result. Found something interesting? Open it. Now look around it. GotSnag will surface community conversations, related products for you to explore, and Deal Intelligence for that specific product. You can see where we’ve recorded it selling, at what prices, and how its price has been trending over time. Better yet, you could set your own smart alerts to be notified when your target price is met by an offer! ;) Because seeing a price is one thing. Understanding it in context is much more useful. Being able to set your own price trackers is real joy of a prodcut hunt! Step 3: Break your original plan. This is the fun part. Check a related product. Jump into a curated Collection. Explore another Brand. Join the Circles of your favorite products and brands to stay in the know and to share, contribute and help shape the conversation around what you’re passionate about. Then open something that catches your attention, even if it has nothing to do with what you originally came for. Why? Because Shopping Around isn’t only about finding the thing you already wanted. It’s also about seeing what exists around it. And that’s it. You’ve started Shopping Around. As you explore, you’ll encounter Circles, Vibes, Tribes, Local Tags, Name Your Price and a few things @Leo is already impatient to explain. Ignore most of that today. Your mission is much simpler: Find ONE thing you wanted. Then find ONE thing you weren’t looking for.
